Introducing Tek-Leaders Academy (TLA)

‘I’m looking for a tech partner / tech co-founder / CTO’ …

… is a common frustration for non-technical founders.

I hear it speaking over coffee, posted on fb startup groups, received through my DMs and even posted as job ads.

It’s a massive problem I see not only in WA, but across Australia, during my time in Japan and beyond.

Plus, its a challenge I am really motivated to solve too, and that’s why we pitched the Tek-Leaders Academy (or TLA – our interim name) at Morning Startup yesterday morning.

Whilst the pitch didn’t go exactly to plan, the message is out there now.

So, the 2 programs we’re kicking-off to address these problems include:

1️⃣ CTO Fast-track – 2 day bootcamp for non-technical founders that will provide higher-level guidance on frameworks, technology strategy and leadership, so that they can be more empowered to work with developers.

This will then pave the way for the …

2️⃣ CTO Advanced – 3 month comprehensive program for bootcamp graduates and aspiring/existing CTOs and tech-founders to help them hone their strategic approach to technology and boost their leadership skills to drive innovation and help scale their startups.

We’ll also make both programs available online both remotely and self-paced, via our online platform that we will launch early next year.

So far we’ve got:

– 10+ awesome mentors supporting us in delivering the program.
– a waiting list full of participants for our initial cohort, and
– 3 regional hubs willing to support us with promotion and venues in Karratha, Newman and Geraldton

We’re looking to kick-off our 2 day CTO Fast-track bootcamp shortly, and will be posting further details about it soon – so make sure to follow me for further updates too!
